What this covers

This policy explains how MakerRise handles data when an Etsy seller connects their shop and uses the product, including how it uses Google's services.

Etsy and Google authorization

MakerRise uses Etsy's OAuth authorization flow to connect a seller's Etsy account and requests only the permissions its features need. Sellers do not connect their Google accounts to MakerRise.

When available, MakerRise performs seller-requested keyword research server-side using MakerRise's configured Google Ads authorization. This access is used for keyword research and is not used to create or manage advertising campaigns.

Access credentials and refresh tokens issued through these flows are stored on MakerRise's server infrastructure, not in the browser. They are never sent to the browser, embedded in client-side code, or included in any prompt sent to an AI model.

Google Keyword Planner data

When a seller requests keyword research, MakerRise retrieves keyword ideas and related signals through the Google Ads API and stores them associated with the requesting seller's account, along with the source, the query used, and the date retrieved. This research data is shown back to that seller as evidence for their own decisions — it is not shared with other sellers or used to build profiles about individuals.

What MakerRise does not do

• MakerRise does not sell personal data.
• MakerRise does not use Etsy or Google credentials for anything beyond the specific features described on the product page.
• MakerRise does not include account credentials, tokens, or secrets in any content generated by or sent to an AI model.

Data retention and deletion

MakerRise retains account and research data while an account remains active. A seller may request deletion through our support contact. We process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Limited records may be retained longer when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or backup integrity.
